The most exciting pitching competition for startups, “The Squeeze” by Orange Grove, was back for its twelfth edition, on March 8th, International Women’s Day (18:00-22:00)!

Orange Grove offered the unique opportunity to eight ambitious startuppers to present their promising business idea onstage to a wide audience of investors, entrepreneurs, journalists and startup enthusiasts, as well as a distinguished international jury panel, in the most exhilarating pitching contest.

The first Squeeze of 2018 was even more exciting as it was held on International Women’s Day, offering a great opportunity to celebrate success in Female Entrepreneurship! For this reason, the Jury consisted of distinguished women from Greece and abroad, who stand out for their professional success and their international status:

 – Dr. Sharon Freeman (Chief Executive Officer, Gems of Wisdom Consulting, Inc.(GWCi)),

  – Hiro Athanasiou (Former EVP and Managing Director, Unilever Greece & Cyprus) and

 – Myrto Papathanou (Partner, Metavallon VC).

Our presenter for the night was Jan Franke founder of Frank Kramer Innovations!

INOMO won the first prize of €15,000 and PGENius won the second prize of €10,000.

“The Squeeze” #12 was complemented with exciting pre-Squeeze events including a workshop and panel discussion with members of our prestigious jury panel, the previous day. Furthermore, for this edition of “The Squeeze”, our events were also supported by the US Embassy in Greece.

All this and much more, wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our Lead Donor, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation!
