Argawal, Madhur

I specialize in early stage B2B sales and marketing. This not only means doing effective sales with very limited resources but also design a practical playbook to reach from zero to one million in sales as fast as possible.

I founded or been part of the founding team for 13 startups during last 10 years. Some of these have seen growth to 200 employees, several million in investment, expanded to EU, Middle East, and the USA, and one recently had an exit.

I believe startups with great product often die NOT because of lack of investment but lack of sales. I had a lot of mentors who help me reach where I am today, and as I just moved to Athens - It would be my pleasure to pay it forward by helping startups at Orange Grove.

Baker Aguilar, Wessley M.

Wessley M. Baker Aguilar has two surnames and blames his Spanish mother and Greek/English father.

Born in Turkey but raised in Greece, you should never ask him where he’s from, as you’ll get a different answer every time.

After working across various industries, from manufacturing to entertainment, Wessley finally realized his calling, Hospitality and Luxury Travel at Sea. Taking with him many years of experience in sales and business development, Wessley is now the Senior Charter Manager for Marvel Yachts Ltd.

He is passionate about creating personalized yacht charter vacations and enjoys telling new clients why they can’t start their cruise in Athens, go to Mykonos, then Bodrum, make a “quick stop” in Kefalonia and return to Athens in seven days.

In early 2016 and after a good charter season, Wessley got bored and a little depressed. As a result, he decided to start an online Digital Marketing course at the University of Illinois Urbana Campaign. He completed it successfully just as his first clients, for the new season, were about to board their plane to Greece.

Wessley is highly skilled in cultivating strategic partnerships as well as client acquisitions with a high degree of retention. An out-of-the-box creative thinker, with his fair share of failures, Wessley is always eager to lend a helping hand.

Castellanos, Rodrigo

I was Born in 1980 in Bogotá, Colombia, and for as long as I remember I have always been attached to entrepreneurship and new business opportunities. I created my first company at 24 while in my 4th year of university, however before that I had already work experience in sales, management, and consultancy. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t have fancy jobs, I was just learning the basics of sales and management from different jobs such as store salesman, barman, and waiter.
After graduating from The Sergio Arboleda University in Colombia, I have been involved in different projects and activities related to market research, business analysis, business consultancy, finance, and sales. As a Chief Administrative and Finance Officer I have had the opportunity to design and develop innovative projects while negotiating directly with suppliers and customers. I am responsible for the company daily management and operations. In the same way, as a Global Business Account Manager for the Helm Bank Colombia, I had the opportunity to work with CEOs, CFOs, entrepreneurs and international investors in the implementation of financial operations. In fact, my responsibility was to drive revenue and to support international customers’ operations within complex organizations while providing consultancy towards financial tools and operations.
Having obtained an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Essex, UK, and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Trade in Colombia, I moved back to consultancy and teaching. As a Director of the Sergio Arboleda University, I was supporting young entrepreneurs in developing their business plan idea and by helping them to make it a reality. Since then, I have supported both, under and postgraduate’s students by helping them to understand their business model and by converting a simple idea into a fully operational business.
Finally, I love to learn every day about new things, and I realized that by helping others to fulfill their dreams and ambitions, I can accomplish my dream…

Kokkinos, Nikos

As an experienced professional who has spent the last 15+ years focused on sales and marketing, I have been able to develop a keen set of competencies in managing and balancing the demands of challenging deliverables without sacrificing relationships, teamwork, innovation and collaboration. I have focused on developing strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues at every level of an organization — from the front-lines to the executive suite.

In my work as a Business Service Manager, I focused primarily on Market Research and Analysis: proposing action plans, leading surveys and using data analytics to inform Branding. In this capacity, I was able to work across the entire spectrum — from research and data analysis through to the use of labeling, logos, and trademarks — while ensuring efficient cost monitoring to obtain commercial targets for promotions. Finally, effectively used the insights gained through analytics to impact CRM (Customer Relationship Management). This allowed me to drive results throughout the entire value-chain, integrating current needs with new ideas for implementation success.

My past experience as an Advertising and Communications Manager provided a strong foundation and deep understanding of the marketing side of a business, enhancing my portfolio of skills. As a result, I bring experience in managing a corporate website, coordinating key stakeholders and aligning them against strategies for new technology and products for customers. However, my experience also includes “grassroots” marketing efforts from advertising and collateral creation, (which included overseeing the publication of a company magazine) to event and media planning for major corporate meetings, communications projects, and press/media and agency relations.

Related, but still another dimension of my professional experience, has been as a leader in charge of several geographies in Greece. I learned that being accountable for specific geographies means you have to make the time and commitment to travel to those geographies, understand each area, and connect to the unique “profile” and customer needs first-hand. It may seem obvious, but in today’s technology dominated world we have lost some of the “basics” that create strong and lasting business relationships and value.

Equally important has been my deep knowledge of food chain activities: dealing with producers, dealers, Supermarket chains, and aligning competing needs and specifications. This part of my career required me to develop strong business analysis skills that have enabled me to create and establish win/win business collaborations in addition to providing non-obvious insights and gaining awareness into market opportunities.

Last but not least, I have experience organizing and leading a sales department. Sales is the other side of marketing — so being able to sell, be on the front-lines generating revenues and traveling to geographies has enabled me to gain a well-rounded set of skills and capabilities that will hopefully make me a valuable asset to your organization.

Over the last few years I have been able to leverage my experience/ expertise in my consulting practice, where I have focused on the creation of tailor-made solutions for my clients. As I am in contact with every segment of the agricultural sector (farmers, ministry, companies, supermarkets, certification bodies, etc.) in Greece, and through my recent efforts to open up new markets for Greek products abroad, I have gained a strong advantage: the ability to assess and understand challenges from many different perspectives. This is the “secret” that has allowed me to create specific, results-oriented solutions for my clients.

Nikolopoulos, Yiannis

Born on May of 1986 in Patras, I finished school with remarkable grades and got into the dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Only 3 years later, I co-founded my own company which builds and runs solar parks ever since, along with a friend from the dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics. At the same time I was volunteering as a Red Cross Samaritan in between classes and my first job at the National Telecommunications Organisation.

In Oct. 2009, my sister’s car accident forced me to develop a most flexible problem-solving approach. I kept running the solar parks and pursuing my personal projects, while neglecting college due to the tight schedule of her medical treatment. This experience helped me sharpen my emotional intelligence and taught me to be productive under very stressful circumstances, while keeping calm and happy.

In Oct. 2012 I co-founded Clio Muse PC: what started as a 3-people tour guide app startup, evolved to a 8 full-time employees company which runs a Software as a Service platform for anyone to publish and resell their digital self-guided tours.

Since launching, Clio Muse has successfully hosted and curated over 100 tours in Greece, Italy, Austria and the US while partnering with the Athens International Airport, Athens Biennale, Art-Athina, Municipality of Athens, American School of Classical Studies, Embassies (Netherlands and Germany) and the National Bank of Greece. We have been awarded over 10 times globally for the re-use of cultural content and its business model and mentioned in major newspapers like USA Today and the New York Times.

In Dec. 2016, Clio Muse received 205.000€ funding for 0% equity, though an Horizon 2020 EU program, making our company an excellent case for the greek startup ecosystem.

Today, I’m the proud CTO in Clio Muse PC and I split my free time between my family and Orange Grove Patras: a dutch initiative to counter-fight youth unemployment and the brain drain in my country.
