  • Startup Tales: CEO edition

    December 4, 2018  7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The "second generation" of Greek startups are now in their most productive stage: they raise big rounds, grow or launch internationally, attract top talent, and deliver significant value to their customers at scale. There are many lessons to be learned and the people who have led those journeys are the best ones to share with us the ups and downs of their ride. We are thrilled to bring these people on stage and discuss with them their most valuable learnings.

In the first Startup Tales: CEO edition, John Tsioris from Instashop will share his story of how, as a Greek expat working in Dubai, he decided to become a founder and set off on the InstaShop journey. Instashop was conceived as an idea in 2015 and is now the largest e-grocer in the region exceeding a $50M GMV run rate. The company serves more than 5,000 orders per day in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and recently in Lebanon and Egypt and all that supported by a strong tech team based in Greece. John will share insights about scaling and building a strong team, general tips for new entrepreneurs, and discuss about securing investment at different stages of a startup journey.

After John gives his presentation, Apostolos and George will join him for a fireside chat to extract any gossips he forgot to share.
