Cultinet was an online platform acting like LinkedIn for the Arts: connecting managers with artists and those who commission arts projects like Event Organizers and Cultural Institutions.
It was launced a year earlier in May 2014 with a mission to facilitate arts collaborations through matchmaking. The matchmaking worked but the founders realized it was trying to solve the wrong problem. It put too much attention on the matchmaking rather than on creating a new step-by-step collaboration funnel for arts professionals.
Co-founders Maria-Louiza Laopodi and Anna Amorgianou have embarked in new projects since then by applying what they learned from collaboration platforms and business models for cultural projects.
