The connection between entrepreneurship and academia is a topic that has preoccupied us over the years and has been at the epicenter of our discussions with local and international stakeholders. Today, we are very excited as the Embassy of The Netherlands in Greece together with Orange Grove will be launching the first entrepreneurship training programme for Universities, the Masterclass Series: “Entrepreneurial University”. This is a new programme which will run in collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, and is powered by the Amsterdam Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE) and Preneurz Amsterdam.
Building on the experience of Dutch universities on entrepreneurship, research commercialization and startup ecosystems, commencing on Monday 25th January, our programme will roll out a series of intensive online masterclasses for university stakeholders on the development of education programmes and services which will enable students and researchers to better connect their knowledge to the market.
Entrepreneurship programmes, technology transfer offices, university incubator business models and cultivation of an entrepreneurial mindset in researchers and students are among the many subjects the participating universities will work on, with the support of the programme’s experienced trainers, as they draw up action plans for their academic institutions.
The programme will run from January to June 2021, and will be conducted in collaboration with the “Building Technology Transfer and Acceleration Capacity in Greek Universities and Research Centers” programme by Uni.fund and the Onassis Foundation.
